This 300-Year-Old “Skateboard” Is Made From a 17th Century Oak Beam

What we have here certainly isn’t your average skateboard. While not the most skate-able creation, this insane board has been constructed from an oak beam taken from a 17th century French church.

Dubbed “Louis XIV,” the oak beam has in turn been cut into small sections and placed atop skate wheels. Only five units have been constructed, each made in France.

The board measures 16 inches long, 9.45 inches wide and 11 inches high, and weighs 20 kilograms. Each model is ultimately unique to itself and comes with a French medal of the “Sun King” (Louis XIV).

You can purchase the 300-year-old skateboard for roughly $413 USD.
